Access to affordable, long-term and appropriate space is a key capacity issue for not-for-profit organizations. The Community Barn enhances the capacity of not-for-profit arts and environmental organizations with affordable programming, rehearsal, office and meeting space. Artscape Toronto – Artscape
Association for Native Development in the Performing and Visual Arts – ANDPVA is Canada’s oldest Aboriginal arts service organization, providing support to Canadian Aboriginal artists in Ontario and around the world.
b current – b current is the only professional company on the Canadian performance scene which focuses its main artistic energies and programming on developing original theatre works rooted in, and reflecting voices from the Canadian Black diasporic communities.
The Helene Comay Nursery – The philosophy of the HCNS is to create an environment where, through an individualized, play-based program, each child’s growth is fostered. We place a strong emphasis on the children’s social and emotional well being and feel that a strong sense of self is essential to all areas of development.
Latin American Canadian Art Projects – LACAP is a Toronto-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the implementation of various cultural art projects, which promote the unity of the Latin American population in Canada. LACAP fosters economic development and the well being of artists and the community.
LEAF – Local Enhancement & Appreciation of Forests – LEAF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the protection and improvement of the urban forest. We engage citizens in urban forest stewardship through planting, education and training.
New Adventures in Sound Art – The objectives of NAISA are to foster awareness and understanding locally, as well as nationally and internationally, in the cultural vitality of experimental sound art in its myriad forms of expression. This objective will be achieved through the exploration of new sound technologies in conjunction with the creation of cultural events and artifacts.
The Stop Community Food Centre – The Stop Community Food Centre strives to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds community and challenges inequality.
Storytelling Toronto – an organization that supports creative work in the art of storytelling. The School publishes Pippin (their newsletter); offers courses; promotes and subsidizes the work of storytellers in education; and produces the Toronto Festival of Storytelling.
Theatre Direct Canada – Theatre Direct is a leading professional theatres devoted to young audiences. The company offers a full season of award-winning and innovative theatre productions in a 100 seat theatre and a year round drama school serving children from 4 years and up in its education studio.
